We are seeking an Automation Engineer responsible for designing and implementing PLC software solutions (Siemens, Beckhoff) for industrial machine integration, creating electrical schematics in EPLAN, and ensuring seamless communication between machines and systems.
The position is available in Le Bourget-du-Lac (France) and Lausanne (Switzerland).
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver industrialization projects
- Develop automation systems and PLC programming
- Manage the timely delivery of development and customization
- Perform tests and qualifications at customer sites
- Create documentation, technical drawings, and conceptual proposals, ideally with experience using EPLAN software
- Coordinate with other product teams
Qualifications:
- Engineering degree or equivalent (with a specialization in electrical or electronic engineering)
- 5 + years of experience in software development, PLC programming, and automation engineering
- Deep knowledge of Modbus and OPC-UA protocols
- Basic IT knowledge (Windows OS and system configuration)
- Demonstrated project management skills
- Fluent in English
- Willing to travel worldwide
- Ideally, experience with Cognex Vision Systems (Dataman & Insight series)
- Ideally, experience in installing mechanical components on production lines
